Hervé’s journey is driven by curiosity and a passion for sharing music and culture, shaped by his upbringing in Africa and his subsequent life in Europe. An avid record collector and selector, he crafts a groovy, progressive, and psychedelic club sound, where deep basslines, acid, and subtle melodies blend seamlessly. His eclectic listening sessions also reveal influences beyond the dancefloor – ambient, jazz, dub, and hip-hop – defining his artistic identity.
Having closed Draaimolen’s Forest Rave stage, played at Berghain’s Panorama Bar, toured across Europe, and performed regularly at Amsterdam’s queer institution Club Raum, Hervé has shared the stage with notable artists such as Vladimir Ivkovic, Eris Drew, and Octo Octa. He also performs under the alias Noord Loop – a collaborative project with his friend, mentor, and label partner Tanzverbot.
Deeply passionate about collaboration and nurturing talent, Hervé is actively involved in Amsterdam’s vibrant scene. He co-runs Polychrome Audio, a record label; Noord Space, a creative space; the club night Interfering Grounds; and misuse, a creative agency. Through these platforms, he channels his creativity and commitment to nightlife, embracing artistic risks and the spontaneity that fuels both life and music.
