Cosmo (Hyojin Min) is a South Korean, Berlin-based DJ and producer whose sound moves between depth, psychedelia and a distinct sense of understated elegance. Emerging from Seoul’s local club scene, she developed her musical language through residencies and her debut productions.
Occupying the space between house and techno rather than settling firmly into either, her selections move fluidly through deep, dubby, minimal and psychedelic territories. Organic percussion and weighty grooves meet immersive textures, strange details and shimmering cosmic tones, creating a sound that can feel mysterious and sensual, yet equally warm and expansive. Rather than following a fixed genre or linear trajectory, her sets are shaped through contrast and gradual transformation, moving between restraint and intensity, abstraction and physicality, darkness and light.
Attentive to the room, the sound system and the collective energy of the dancefloor, Cosmo approaches DJing as an unfolding narrative. Changes in rhythm, texture and atmosphere arrive patiently, allowing different musical worlds to emerge without losing the thread between them. The result is a style that remains deeply functional on the dancefloor while retaining a sense of space, ambiguity and emotional subtlety.
As a producer, Cosmo translates this same sensibility into spacious, melodic club music. Her debut solo EP [JIN09], released in 2024 on Taipei’s 禁JIN Records, moves between starry eyed house and Balearic leaning techno, with understated acid touches and twinkling melodies. Patient builds, restrained tension and dreamlike clarity give the record a fluid quality that balances lightness with quiet intensity.
Cosmo continues to bring her distinctive sound to clubs and festivals across Europe and Asia, with recent appearances at Waking Life, Draaimolen, Love International, Panorama Bar and Fabric. Closely associated with Germany’s Giegling collective, she continues to develop her voice as both a DJ and producer.
